Harmony
College Northwest -2010 leads to 2011
By Ken Galloway, Evergreen District
President
Boy
if you were not in attendance, you missed some super classes, great quartet
singing, superb shows and great quartet coaches and faculty. Harmony College NW
was held at the University of Puget Sound with over 225 students and faculty. The
weekend started off with a super show on Friday with Fast Track, current Evergreen District Quartet Champion, then MOJO, a top ten Sweet Adeline
International quartet and MaxQ recent BHS International Quartet Champion. With great
class options and a super faculty, the detail planning of Carl Van Hoff and
Judy Galloway was an event to not miss. Several of the faculty present this
year will be invited to return in 2011 because of the great evaluations, but
also presentation of the material. Carl and Judy are looking at more tweaks to
improve the program and we all encourage you to plan on attending in 2011. An
Evergreen thank you to the out of District Faculty of Rod & Paige Sgrignoli, Ron Black, Rik
Johnson, Raymond Schwarzkopf, MaxQ as well as the
local Evergreen District and Sweet Adeline Faculty...super job done by all.
Oh
yes, Carl has invited David Leederer for the Key Note
Welcome, we have invited BHS International President Alan Lamson
to attend, and the International Quartet Champion Vocal Spectrum has accepted the invitation to participate. Put the
weekend of July 22, 23, & 24, 2011, at Puget Sound University, Tacoma, WA. See
you then if not sooner at a District Event.
Plan
now for HCNW 2011!!
