College
Quartets
By Ken Galloway, Evergreen District
President
It is not too early for the chapters to contact young men in high school or
college to form and start rehearsing for the 2011 College Quartet Contests. The
College Quartet Contests are held as part of each Division Contest. If a
College Quartet gets or exceeds the minimum score, they are automatic entrants
to the International College Quartet Contest to be held in Kansas City in 2011.
Otherwise, the highest scoring college quartet from the Evergreen District will
be invited. So men, invite the young men out, help them form a quartet and
support them in the contest. School starting is not too far away, so do the
encouraging and supporting now. Thanks and you will have fun with them also.
Oh yes, you can have more than one College Quartet that you support. The more
the merrier.
See you at the Division Conventions in 2011; they are more than just a contest,
you get evaluations of your performance from all three categories, you get to
renew old friendships and you can sing polecats or tags with almost everyone. Plan on attending your Division Convention in 2011.
See you at one.
