Kitsap Chordsmen Charities
A portion of
the income from shows and performances goes to wonderful charities which do
work in the area's of singing, speech, and language. Some of the
organizations we contribute to are local. Others are well known in the
barbershop community.
We invite
you to join us in support of these worthwhile charities. Contact them

Harmony Foundation – This fund supports
SingAmerica (SingCanada), Heartspring, the Heritage Hall Museum, and other

The Bud Leabo Fund – The Bud Leabo Fund
was developed to honor one of the great early leaders of the Evergreen

Harmony Explosion Camp – Full scholarships are offered for young men
and women to attend this music camp.
• Three days of fun for young men and women,
ages 12 to 21, interested in vocal performance.
• Professional vocal instruction.
• An opportunity to sing with and learn from talented performers.
• A crash course in the intricacies of four-part, a cappella harmony.
• Instruction and experience in singing technique and stage presence.
• A performance in front of hundreds of barbershop enthusiasts.
• An optional one-day seminar for students in a quartet, or students interested
in forming a quartet.
Harmony
College NW – Tuition assistance is available for current
barbershoppers.

women interested in improving vocal skills.

In addition to the financial support of these worthy causes, the
Kitsap Chordsmen Chorus and Quartets regularly offer their singing to help
support local organizations such as the Kitsap Humane Society, Olympic College
Foundation, Kitsap Historical Society, Harrison Hospital, and the Silverdale
Chamber of Commerce, and military events such as Military Appreciation Day,
Keyport Diversity Day and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, plus other community
events and fund raisers. They also do plenty of Christmas caroling to
retirement, convalescent and nursing homes, and present educational programs
for local public schools.
